I was born in 1937, which makes me at the time of this writing 65 years of age. Of the three genres of art, which by beginning this web site I hope to successfully disemmenate to the public, music has been my longest life long friend. I began playing piano at age six and continued to work with it off and on for the next 40 years. In my forties, I turned to composition, finding much satisfaction while playing for my pleasure and entertaining in restaurants. I compose in a style which is best suited for the orchestra in a style employing some dissonances which I endeavor to blend into the score and not in any attempt to be "modern".
I enjoy art (acrylic painting) and literature (poetry and fiction) as well and, as initially the bulk of material available at this site will be my painting, I hope it will garner interest so that in a few weeks or months when my writing and music is added many of you will be curious enough to click on them too. I live in Montgomery, Alabama with my wife Gail, Garf, a cat and Cocoa, a dog. My son is married and lives in Atlanta.
In order to merchandise my art I would like to take orders for pictures that roughly mirror the pictures shown. I will try to duplicate as closely as I can or paint a variation taking from the customer his or her preferences as to color and any other specifics they may employ.
